AquaMAX hot water heaters are a brand that originated in Victoria in 1988 and within the first six years had grown to become a major player in the Victorian hot water industry, manufacturing over 100,000 hot water systems. In 2004, AquaMAX started manufacturing hot water systems with mild steel cylinders and vitreous enamel internal coating, and by 2009, had sold over half a million systems.
In August 2009, Rheem purchased the AquaMAX hot water company. Since then, Rheem has ceased the manufacturing of AquaMAX’s electric VE range in Melbourne, and the products are now made within Rheem facilities in Sydney, alongside Rheem and Vulcan water heaters. Since the Rheem takeover, the AquaMAX brand has slowly downsized to only have electric and stainless steel storage gas hot water systems in their range.
AquaMAX hot water systems offer warranties of seven and ten years on the cylinders, depending on the size of the system. The smaller the storage capacity, the lower the warranty.
